| WHAT'S NEW?
6/19/06
On August 19th we will be hosting a hands-on workshop on mushroom cultivation
techniques for NOFA-VT members but this workshop is open to the public.
6/1/06 We just launched a radio ad on 104.7 "The
Point" which you can also hear on-line. Any suggestions for other
independent radio stations that you think our ad should be on are more
than welcome, and of course you are more than welcome to download it
and play it the next time you have friends over or to give constructive
criticism.
5/15/06 We are beginning to prepare for the Reishi
mushroom harvest, so we're ramping up for the next three months, which
are the craziest months of the year for us since we split our time between
growing and picking reishi mushrooms, producing our teas and extracts,
and distributing and marketing of our products, which are all essential
to our success.
4/6/06 We learned of an exciting milk house washwater
project on a Vermont dairy farm which will use woodchip beds inoculated
with mushrooms to treat this portion of their wastewater. We are glad
to say, because of our collaborations with other organic mushrooms farms
in the northeast, we can now sell wholesale mushroom spawn in any volume,
even for large projects such as this one, which will require enough
spawn to inoculate 3000 sq. ft of mushroom beds.
4/5/06 Our webstore is on-line and ready to take credit-card
sales. Please let us know of any improvements you would like to see
in our website since we want our website continue to evolve to better
suit your needs.
3/6/06 We began helping Katalyst Kombucha deliver their
premium Kombucha drinks to stores in Vermont while they began helping
us distribute around Amherst, MA. We see this collaboration as a great
way for two socially responsible small businesses to better serve their
customers and we will always strive to cultivate a sense of collaboration
with other people of like mind
2/13/06 We donated VTea Mycobrews to the NOFA Winter
Conference and they tasted great served hot on a cold winter day
1/12/06 We reformulated our Maple Cranberry Reishi
tea and chose to buy organic Cordyceps to take the place of our forest-grown
reishi mushrooms because Cordyceps has a number of overlapping and complementary
properties with Reishi
